This guide is the fruit of the efforts and experience of scores of individuals who for two years pooled their expertise generously and enthusiastically under the aegis of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Aspen Institute's Global Interdependence Initiative (GII). The authors who compiled and edited the guide, Heather Hurlburt, Priscilla Lewis and P.J. Simmons, owe their first debt to the founding task force that was at the heart of the effort.
